As a Senior Accountant, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to a broad portfolio of clients, helping them understand their finances and make strategic decisions. Whether you're already managing a portfolio or ready to step into that responsibility, there's plenty of scope to grow within the role. You'll be exposed to a mix of compliance and advisory work and will be encouraged to get involved in shaping the future direction of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare year-end accounts, tax returns, and other compliance tasks for a range of clients across different industries.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and main point of contact.
- Support junior team members through training, development, and reviewing their work.
- Assist clients with their move to cloud-based platforms, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Represent the firm at local events and explore opportunities to grow the client portfolio.
What the client is looking for:
- ACA/ACCA qualified, nearly qualified, or QBE.
- Background in practice with experience working with a range of clients.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or similar cloud-based accounting software.
- Comfortable managing client relationships and delivering a high level of service.
- Proactive, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
