NXTGEN are supporting a growing organisation with the recruitment of a Finance Officer to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations. As Finance Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting month-end, payroll, and ledgers while working closely with senior management. The Finance Officer role:
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring payments are accurate and on time.
- Maintain and reconcile records in Sage 50 (multi-currency: GBP, EUR, USD).
- Process payroll for up to 20 staff, including contracts, leavers, and pensions.
- Oversee sales and purchase ledger invoices and credit notes.
- Assist with monthly profit and loss reports and support external accountants with year-end accounts.
- Review HMRC postponed VAT statements and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Provide general admin support and take on ad-hoc tasks where required.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a finance role (financial services experience is a plus).
- Proficiency with Sage 50 and strong Excel skills.
- A methodical, detail-focused approach to data entry and reconciliations.
- Organisational skills to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Great communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
