As Management Accountant, you'll provide essential financial insight to support decision-making and drive performance across the business. You'll take ownership of management accounts, forecasting, and financial reporting, playing a vital role in ensuring robust financial control as the business continues to grow. This role is available either in Bedford or Cambridge so location is flexible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely management accounts and financial reporting.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage cost control across departments.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring compliance with financial policies and internal controls.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, funders, and other key stakeholders.
- Continuously improve financial processes and reporting systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
You'll be an ambitious and detail-oriented Management Accountant with a strong understanding of financial principles and a passion for driving business performance. Ideally, you'll be part-qualified or newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with previous experience in management accounting, gained within a fast-paced or growing organisation. As a Management Accountant, you'll be confident in communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders, highly proficient in Excel and accounting systems such as Sage 50 or Power BI, and able to work accurately under pressure. A proactive and flexible mindset, coupled with strong commercial awareness, will allow you to add real value and contribute to the ongoing success of this thriving business.
