NXTGEN are supporting a high profile, global organisation where sustainability, carbon reduction and ESG accountability sit firmly at the heart of the business. As part of this continued focus, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping, delivering and continuously improving the group's ESG strategy. This Senior Finance Business Partner position is highly visible and offers genuine exposure across the organisation, including regular engagement at executive level with the CEO, CFO and Manufacturing Director. The role acts as the finance lead for ESG and non-financial reporting, taking ownership for the design, development and oversight of reporting frameworks, tools and systems to ensure accurate, consistent and meaningful KPI reporting across a global footprint. Combining strategic influence with a hands on approach, the Senior Finance Business Partner will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive governance, influence decision making and deliver insight, while remaining deeply involved in analytic's and financial modelling. For the successful candidate, this represents a rare opportunity to add value at both group and international level, while directly shaping how ESG performance is measured and embedded across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as finance business partner to global manufacturing teams, helping to shape, challenge and deliver the ESG agenda across the organisation
- Leading the development and ongoing maintenance of greenhouse gas reporting, including the creation of SOPs to ensure consistency and governance at site level worldwide
- Working closely with global production and procurement teams to track, analyse and model CO₂ data, supporting medium and longer term forecasting and decision making
- Taking ownership of non-financial reporting disclosures, participating in steering groups and consolidating ESG data for both internal and external reporting
- Managing central function cost reporting, budgeting and forecasting, with a particular emphasis on employment cost reporting aligned to ESG requirements
- Acting as the ESG finance champion across the business, constructively challenging stakeholders and senior leaders while driving continuous improvement and best practice
The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with experience gained within manufacturing, engineering or FMCG environments. Prior exposure to ESG or non-financial reporting would be advantageous, however candidates with a strong finance business partnering background and a genuine passion for sustainability are actively encouraged to apply. You will bring strong Excel and data modelling capability, with the ability to interpret and challenge large, complex data sets. Given the senior profile of the role, you will be confident operating at executive level and able to communicate complex information clearly and credibly. An awareness of emerging ESG legislation and reporting requirements is desirable, alongside the ability to translate regulatory change into practical, value adding insight for the business. An ongoing interest in sustainability, governance and non-financial reporting will be key to long term success in the role.
Salary and package offered will be dependent on experience and qualification.
