I’m working exclusively with a fantastic, forward-thinking accountancy practice in North Norfolk that’s looking to bring an experienced Accounts & Tax Assistant Manager into the team. It’s a close-knit team, which means you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners and genuinely shape your career in the direction you want to take it.
You’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients, from individuals and owner-managed businesses through to larger corporate clients, delivering a high-quality accounts and tax service while continuing to develop your technical and client-facing skills.
You’ll have a broad and varied role, including:
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
- Building strong day-to-day client relationships and handling client queries
- Assisting Partners with client meetings, including preparation and follow-up
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Preparing and reviewing both corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Taking responsibility for WIP management, billing, fees and invoicing
- Reviewing work prepared by more junior members of the team
- Supporting, mentoring and developing junior colleagues, including delegating work and assisting with more complex queries
- Supporting new client meetings and helping with the onboarding of new clients
- Getting involved in business development, networking and marketing initiatives
- Working alongside Partners on client planning and wider advisory work
What the client is looking for:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with ideally one year's post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice.
- You might already be managing your own portfolio and be ready for a step up, or you could be an experienced Senior looking for the opportunity to take that next step into a management role.
