NXTGEN is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm in Norfolk as they look to strengthen their Fractional Finance services and team and are therefore looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant, following continued growth and demand for their outsourced finance services.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where you’ll work closely with a varied portfolio of ambitious, owner-managed businesses. Rather than simply producing the numbers, this Management Accountant role will see you getting much closer to your clients, understanding their businesses, providing financial insight and helping them make informed decisions.
As a Senior Accountant you’ll have real ownership of your own portfolio, working across management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, reporting and cashflow, whilst also helping clients improve their finance systems and processes. As the team is newly created, there is also a genuine opportunity to help shape the service as it develops and put your own stamp on it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients across bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts.
- Produce meaningful management information, reporting and financial insight.
- Work closely with business owners, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance systems, processes and reporting.
- Support clients with MTD and real-time accounting requirements.
- Review work and support the development of more junior colleagues.
- Help shape and develop the wider Fractional Finance offering.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience within accountancy practice or outsourced finance team Strong management accounts and bookkeeping experience.
- Confident using cloud accounting software, particularly Xero and/or QuickBooks.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to work directly with clients.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines and priorities.
- A proactive approach with a genuine interest in providing commercial financial insight.
