The role itself is incredibly varied, making it a great opportunity for an Accounts Semi Senior who wants to continue developing their practice experience while gaining broader exposure across accounts and tax.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
- Preparing management accounts and other accounts related work where required
- Supporting with personal and corporation tax returns
- Gaining exposure to a mixture of tax work alongside your accounts responsibilities
- Working closely with Managers and Directors across a range of client assignments
- Building relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact
- Supporting with queries and helping clients with their day to day accounting needs
- Developing your technical knowledge across both accounts and tax
- Taking on increasing responsibility as you progress within the firm
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing accounts from basic bookkeeping through to final accounts
- Some exposure to tax would be beneficial, although full training can be provided
- AAT qualified, part qualified ACCA or ACA, or currently studying towards a relevant qualification
- A genuine interest in developing a career within practice
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a close knit team and wants to be somewhere they can build a long term career
