The Role
Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will play an important role in supporting the financial performance of the business, helping to deliver accurate reporting and meaningful financial insight across a growing group.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting the month-end process.
- Analysing financial performance, identifying trends and investigating variances against budget and forecast.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
- Producing financial reports and providing insight to support commercial decision-making.
- Supporting the wider finance function with process improvements and developing reporting capabilities.
- Working with stakeholders across the group to improve financial visibility and business performance.
- Supporting year-end processes, audit requirements and statutory reporting where required.
- Taking on increasing responsibility as your experience develops, with the opportunity to grow into a future Finance Manager position.
About You
This opportunity would suit an ambitious Management Accountant who is keen to build on their existing experience and take the next step in their career. You may already be working as a Management Accountant and looking for a role with greater responsibility, or you could be newly qualified and ready to put your qualification into practice within a growing business. Ideally, you will be ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified, with relevant experience, with a good understanding of management accounts, month-end reporting and financial analysis.
More importantly, you will be commercially minded, proactive and hungry to learn, with a genuine desire to understand the wider business and contribute to its ongoing success. You will be someone who enjoys working collaboratively, building relationships across the business and taking on new challenges, with the ambition to develop into a Finance Manager and ultimately progress towards a Financial Controller position.
