NXTGEN is working with an established, multi-site group to recruit a Finance Business Partner who enjoys getting close to operations, understanding what drives performance and helping managers turn financial insight into action.

As Finance Business Partner, you will support two specialist divisions, you’ll build relationships with operational leaders across a varied portfolio of sites. Each has its own challenges and opportunities, giving you plenty of scope to investigate performance, ask questions and influence decisions around costs, resources and profitability.

This role would suit an existing Finance Business Partner or a Management Accountant looking to develop their commercial experience within a supportive finance team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with divisional and operational leaders to understand results, explain variances and agree practical actions.

  • Leading budgeting and forecasting for your areas, challenging assumptions and reflecting operational priorities.

  • Bringing financial and operational data together to identify trends, risks and opportunities.

  • Analysing costs, margins and resource utilisation to help managers improve performance.

  • Building financial models to support commercial decisions and assess potential investment.

  • Working with the wider finance team to deliver accurate reporting and clear commentary.

  • Improving reports and processes so managers have useful, timely information to support their decisions.

What you’ll bring:

You’ll have experience in management accounting, financial analysis or business partnering, with the curiosity to look beyond the headline figures. You’ll be comfortable discussing performance with people outside finance and able to explain your findings clearly, offer constructive challenge and build trust.

Strong Excel skills and experience of budgeting, forecasting and analysing performance will be valuable. Experience within a business operating across multiple sites would be useful, although sector experience is not essential.
