As an Accounts Assistant, you will work with businesses across a wide variety of sectors, supporting the preparation of accounts and tax work while building strong relationships with clients. You'll receive ongoing support from experienced colleagues, gain exposure to different areas of practice, and have the opportunity to increase your responsibilities as your experience grows.

The Role:
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Completing VAT returns and assisting clients with day to day accounting queries
- Preparing bookkeeping records and maintaining accurate financial information using cloud based accounting software
- Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax computations
- Supporting senior members of the team with client assignments and ad hoc projects
- Developing strong client relationships through regular communication and excellent service
- Keeping up to date with accounting standards and legislation while continuing your professional development
About You:
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
- AAT qualified, studying towards AAT, ACCA or ACA, or qualified through relevant experience
- Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software, including Xero
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach with a genuine desire to continue learning and developing within practice
- A team player who enjoys building lasting relationships with both colleagues and clients
